Outside Sales Representative

Reporting to the VP Sales, the ideal candidate will have strong customer service and several years’ experience in outside sales. You will be responsible for the sales and promotion of I-XL products to commercial, residential and dealer markets in the assigned territory (within the lower mainland area).  You will be involved in all aspects of sales which includes, inventory, processing sales orders, assisting customers in the showroom and on various construction sites.

  • Sales and promotion of I-XL products to commercial, residential and dealer markets in the assigned territory.
  • Responsible for sales calls to all customer groups.
  • Work with other regional sales reps and VP Sales to identify new opportunities, or collaborative approach to regional customers
  • Use company-supplied information and market intelligence to track and follow up on significant opportunities.
  • Keep contacts up-to-date in Outlook, and use Outlook calendar for appointments.
  • Create quotes and ensure all bidders on commercial and other jobs are quoted.
  • Upon receipt of customer purchase order or signed quotation, complete and process necessary paperwork before turning over to Operations.
  • Research required information as necessary.
  • Complete weekly planning, call reporting and expense reports.
  • Respond to customer complaints and concerns as required.
  • Participation in other sales responsibilities, including association membership and involvement, trade shows, site issues, education, branch meetings, and any other sales related tasks as assigned.
  • 2-3 years of sales experience.
  • Successful record of meeting sales goals and account management.
  • Experience within the construction industry is an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of industry products, practices and standards.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to navigate through a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.
  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail, ability to communicate confidently.
  • Self-motivated with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Outstanding sales and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Present a professional image to the Company’s customers and suppliers maintaining the highest ethical standard of conduct.
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean abstract.
